CONFERENCE GRANT (PARTIAL)

ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

The 4th NCDC/NFELTP Annual Scientific conference will hold in Abuja at the Congress Hall of the Transcorp Hilton, from the 10th – 11th of September 2019. Registration opens at 7.30 a.m. and conference sessions begin daily at 8.30 am prompt.


CONFERENCE SCHEDULE

We will have a couple of pre-conference workshops on Monday 9th September 2019, details will be available in due course. On the 10th and 11th of September, there will be plenary sessions where you will speak on either of the days. On these days, we will also have parallel sessions of oral and oral-poster presentations. During these sessions; NFELTP residents, graduates, the NCDC team and other researchers from collaborating institutions will present their scientific work from diverse field of epidemiology and public health.


CONFERENCE GRANT

The NCDC and AFENET is offering grants to 50 eligible individuals living in Nigeria, that are interested in participating in this conference. The grants shall cover only:

  • Conference registration
  • Accommodation for 3 nights in Abuja


ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR THE GRANT

To be considered for the grant, you must:

  • Submit an abstract based on one of the conference sub-themes
  • Only one application per abstract will be considered.
  • Currently reside in Nigeria
  • Be able to speak English.
  • Have post-secondary education (currently enrolled or completed).
  • All applicants must commit to being available for the full conference duration (9th – 11th September, 2019)

  • Your abstract TITLE and ID
  • Personal justification for the grant (max. 50 words) stating why you should be awarded this travel grant.
  • Valid ID Card (e.g. international passport, national ID card, voters card, etc)
  • Most recent post-secondary certificate
  • Your biosketch (max. 1 page)
  • Your abstract title and id
  • Signed letter of introduction (school, workplace)

Only documents in PDF and DOC format can be uploaded to the online application system, and documents should not be more than 1 MB in size.
